Michael: you are without a doubt the best bicycling author out there. Loved your NY Times articles in the past and now am delighted to have found your blog. Am reading your Postal Bus book. Best wishes for the rest of the race. Your literary and cycling fan in State College, PA.
“Le Métier” was a phrase I heard every day as I worked toward being a pro. To me, it is the essence of cycling: devotion, work ethic, savoir-faire, An identity developed through experience.
