Michael,

Thanks Michael for the recounts of the past Olymplics©. I'm glad as a Canadian that you have made it as far as you have in cycling. I own both your books. I refer to your blog on mine often.

What bothers me here is that you refer to your wife's success in the Athens Olympics© and lots of mention to Clara Hughes, but not one mention of Lori-Ann Muenzer and her gold medal run on the track at Athens. A fellow Canadian.

Just saying.

Thank you very much about your stories about the Olympics. I didn't know you did so well in Atlanta and Athens. You did well in China and last year's World Championships. I hope to see you in the Tour de France, then I'll try to come and say hi at the prologue in Rotterdam with my Chicago Black Hawk shirt (do you remember the Amstel Gold Race 3-4 years ago?). Have a great season, Rick your fan from Holland

Loved the retrospective on the Olympics as a whole, and the individual competitions. And you're quite right about the commercialism of the Olympics, accomplished on the backs of (generally) low paid athletes.

And kudos to Clara Hughes. I can't imagine a better representative for what Canada stands for. She has been a commendable ambassador for the country.

Good luck this season.
